A downloadable game for Windows

About

This is one of the Java games I made back when I first started Java development. Ever since, it has been updated numerous times, and now, the complete game is here. Starting with one health point, run around and shoot your enemies, and when you kill them, you gain their power for insane power ups and a chance to get a shield or a heal. Wipe out the enemies to complete the wave. Next wave will be harder. Goal: Don't stop waving.

Game mechanics

To get damaged you have to either collide into an enemy or get shot by an enemy. Enemy bullets are red. Player bullets are blue. A shield gives you an insane hp boost and makes you invincible for about a minute. A heal gives you +35 hp. A player with a shield is blue, but the regular player is white. You start off with 1 hp. Bigger enemies deal more damage on collision, but are slower, and provide more power. Bigger enemies' explosions are much larger. With each wave, more of stronger enemies will spawn. When you kill an enemy, you gain more power, but two of the 1 lesser power of the original enemy are created from the original enemy. There are different stages of power ups at different powers, providing faster bullet creation, and even an OP spiral that eventually shoots in literally every direction. IMPORTANT: When you die, you have to press escape to get into the pause menu, then click the menu button and then click the restart button in the main menu. Only when you die will your power level have been saved as a score, unless you click the "save power" button in the pause menu. Not if you exit early. The scores screen will only show you the top ten scores.
